My name is Cannon. All I’ve ever known is that I want to play football. After high school with no offers I decided to leave my home in Cleveland, Ohio and attempt to play at a JUCO in Utah. Devastated after things didn’t workout in Utah, I weighed my options. I could give up this whole football thing or I could find a way. Little did I know my journey was just beginning. Coming home in 2019 with no money and no idea how I was going to play. After reading a book written by Julian Edelman, I found a training facility near my home and decided I was going to do whatever it took to walk on at Kent State. After working every day for 2 and a half years, through the pandemic and everything else life has to offer, long story short I had the opportunity to walk on. Now that my high school graduating class are seniors in college this year, I am working to earn a role as a Kent State Golden Flash with three years of eligibility left.
