Biography

Hello, my name is Carlie Fusco, I come from a small town in Iowa. I grew up with the hopes and dreams of being able to run at the collegiate level, and here I am representing my small town at a University. I enjoy giving back to my alma mater as much as I can, providing as much tips and guidance as I can to any and all of the track athletes at my small school, Durant HS. I currently am studying athletic training and coaching, with hopes of being able to go back to my alma mater and coach the track team and give the athletes there an opportunity I wish I had. While at UNI, I love to support other student-athletes by going to their games/meets. I am a social butterfly at heart and love the endless opportunities to create memories and friendships while at college.

Career Highlights:

I red-shirted my first year of college to focus on training and my body's health while getting used to the collegiate skill level. However, while in high school. I was a 4x state medalist, including a runner-up finish in the 100-meter hurdles. I also represented my school at the Drake relays in the 100-meter hurdles, and medaled top 5 in the 400-meter hurdles there as well. I qualified and ran at the outdoor New Balance Nationals meet in both the 100 and 400-meter hurdles.
