Biography

My name is Caroline Howley and I'm a walk-on to the Duke XC and Track team majoring in Economics with minors in Mathematics and Evolutionary Anthropology. I've competed at the NCAA XC Championships with the Duke Team, as well as competing in the 3k and 5k during indoor and outdoor track for our ACC Championship winning women's track program. Outside of track and school, I am involved in research correlating concussive symptoms in youth athletes with psychological constructions of identity, part of Duke Athletics' DEIB task force, as well as part of the Duke Impact Investing Group looking for socially impactful investments in the renewable energy sector. I am passionate about running and fitness, addressing the climate crisis through interdisciplinary action, social justice and female empowerment, as well as all things New England sports.
