J.R. Leonard

Biography

Amidst the blessing of receiving many Division 1 offers, J.R. will be attending Stetson University in Deland, Florida. J.R. chose Stetson because of the remarkable Coaching staff, the excellent academics, welcoming school culture, overwhelming community support and the immediate impact he can have playing as a Freshman in the ASUN Conference. J.R. is a 4 star athlete who was recruited as one of the top 25 shooting guards in the country. He is ranked #111 nationally for the class of 2025. J.R. Holds multiple All Region and All Team honors since his freshman year and was the Uber player of the game for the 2024 State Championship game. J.R. is proud to serve as captain this year for the Varsity team. 4- Currently J.R. is the second place record holder for all time leading scorers at Riverwood High School with 1944 points. J.R. played all four years on the Varsity team. J.R. Holds multiple All Region and All Team honors since his freshman year and was the Uber player of the game for the 2024 State Championship game. J.R. will be captain this year for the Varsity team. J.R. was selected by the Adidas AAU circuit out of 50 players in the country to be an Adidas All Star and attended the camp last summer in LaDera, California. J.R. enjoys volunteering in the community and attends LIIV Atlanta church weekly on Riverwood's campus.
