Biography

Katie Shanahan from Falmouth, Massachusetts is an incoming freshman at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. She is a graduate of Falmouth High School where she played field hockey, ice hockey and golf. Shanahan committed to play field hockey Quinnipiac during her junior year of high school. As one of the top defensive players in the state she scored 9 goals and had 14 assists in her senior season for the Clippers. She was voted Boston Globe All-Scholastic Player of the Year, Boston Herald All-Scholastic Player of the Year, and Cape & Islands League All-Star. Katie's talent extends well beyond the field hockey field. She ranks in the Top 40 in her high school class with a 3.94 grade point average. She is a natural leader and is extremely passionate about her sport and future success. Her career goal is to own and operate a fitness studio with physical therapy services on Cape Cod.
