I am a freshman softball player at Santa Clara University. I play first and third base, as well as being a power hitter. I am studying public health with an emphasis in health and society with aspirations of becoming an athletic trainer. I am originally from Eastvale, California. I have played softball for almost 14 years, and I played basketball for 10 years. I love to help others and I am open to many things! A few things that I am extremely passionate about are self care, loving what you do, and inspiring/helping others. I believe that all of these are intertwined. I love volunteering for youth camps on our campus and talking to younger athletes about the collegiate athlete experience. I personally did not have many resources, so I love taking on that role for others. I also believe that being happy with yourself allows for a better life in general. When loving yourself, you are much more able to perform better in school, sports and work, as well as have much more fun when hanging out with your friends and doing things that you love. I also value mental and physical health very much. I myself lost 70 pounds in 2020, so nutrition is something I am very interested in. Mental health is a stigma when it shouldn't be. I aspire to help others with their health while also valuing mine.
