Biography

Hello, my name is Michelle Thao and I am honored to introduce myself as a proud mong American in the first in my family to attend college. Currently, I am pursuing my studies at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where I also have the privilege of playing volleyball for a team. My journey is one of the breaking barriers and setting new standards coming from a community where higher education is not given I understand the immense responsibility I carry. My commitment to academic excellence and and athletic prowess is driven by a desire to inspire and pay the way for other mong Americans who aspire to follow a similar path. Playing volleyball at the school has taught me and valuable lessons and teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. These qualities are not as limited to the court, but are integral to my approach in all aspects of life.
