My name is Naimah Muhammad, I am 21-year-old from Rochester NY, and I am a senior at the Illustrious Fisk University, an HBCU in Nashville Tennesse, notably famous for the Fisk Jubilee singers, where I am majoring in English and Film Studies and currently serve as a student ambassador and captain for the first ever HBCU gymnastics team, the Fisk Lady Bulldogs. I've been homeschooled from the cradle to college and trained in gymnastics at Bright Raven Gymnastics. In my high school career, I've earned titles of 5x NYS Vault Champion, 3x NYS All-Around Champion, Regional Floor and All-Around Champion, and more. In college, I previously attended SUNY College at Brockport, where my floor routine went viral, and I won my first NCAA medal on the floor at NCGA Eastern Regionals. Now at Fisk University, I am the 1st ever gymnast in the NCAA to compete for an HBCU and the 1st gymnast in the NCAA to wear tights for religious beliefs.
