Biography
Hi! My name is Paige Sommers, and I’m in my junior year as a student-athlete at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. I am on a full-ride scholarship for track-and-field, specifically for the Pole Vault. I broke the National All-Time High School Record at 14’9” and the USATF U20 Outdoor Record. In summer of 2021, I was the only high school pole vaulter to qualify and compete in the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon. I was also named the 2020 Gatorade Player of the Year for CA Girls’ Track-and-Field, and was honored by Cal-Hi Sports and Track and Field News as the Athlete of the Year 2020-2021.
