Biography

Ryan Ramirez Heavyweight Motivator 🏋️‍♂️✝️💥 Husband. Father. Fighter. Believer. And yes… 27, still tossing people on the mat like it’s 2005. Hey world, I’m Ryan Ramirez, current heavyweight wrestler for Quincy University and lifelong soldier for the sport of wrestling. My journey didn’t come with the “easy” setting. Since I first laced up my shoes in 2005, wrestling has been my passion, my therapy, and after losing my biggest fan, my mom…it became my connection to her joyful spirit. Every match is a tribute to her. Every grind, every drop of sweat, is for the both of us. I suffered a career ending injury in high school… or so I thought. Life hit hard. I got married young (shoutout to my incredible wife, Natalie 💍), became a father of two amazing kiddos; Amora Rae & Amias Raq 👧👶 and went to work, literally and figuratively. But deep down, something kept tugging at my soul: I’m meant for more. I have praised God my whole life but I wasn’t a big religion man, until God started speaking louder than my doubts. I got a call from an old teammate and we had a long talk but a few of his words really stained my mind, he said, “You may have left wrestling… but wrestling never left you.” Big facts! So I dusted off the shoes, enrolled in Joliet junior college, where I met Coach Dan Caterello, aka living inspiration. That man lit a fire in me that I couldn’t ignore. I almost walked away again. Bills don’t pay themselves. But faith moved mountains and I landed a scholarship in Kansas. After the Kansas grind, we packed up and moved again, this time to Illinois, where I proudly wear maroon and gold as a Quincy University Hawk. Now, at 27, I’m not just chasing dreams, I’m showing my kids, and anyone else who’s ever felt “too late,” that timing is God's specialty. I'm here to shake things up. Not just on the mat, but in the lives of athletes, families, and anyone who's ever fought through heartbreak, hardship, and heavy lifting on and off the mat. Let’s leave a legacy. One suplex at a time.
