Biography

Hi, my name is Tyler Sabo. I am going into my junior year at Ohio State and I am a member of the men's golf team. I am from a small town in northeast Ohio. I graduated from Ashland High School in 2022. In the fall of Ohio 2022 I declared that I was redshirting. In May of 2024 I competed in the NCAA Division 1 Men's National Champiomship at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California. OSU lost in the Match Play Semi Finals. I tied the 6th ranked college golfer at the time according to PGA Tour U and I defeated the 109th best player in the world at the time according to WAGR.

Career Highlights:

In 2021 I qualified for US Open Sectionals. I won the 2021 AJGA Junior at Oldfield in Okatie, South Carolina. I also won the Ohio Junior Amateur Championship. I finished 4th at the Ohio High School State Championship. In 2022, I won the Memorial Junior at Ohio State University Club on the Scarlet Course. In 2023, I qualified for the Southern Amateur Championship. In 2024, I finished T3 at the Johnnie-O Individual. I also played in the 2024 NCAA Division 1 Men's Golf Championship and competed in the match play portion where I made a hole in one in the quarterfinals that went viral on social media.
